Devang Arvind Shah (DAS) conducts experimental research, architecture commissions, and self-initiated projects in New York City. Devang’s designs engage in nature, spirit, and tech, unironically demanding a utopian present and future. Recent projects include the flood resistant Neptune House (2024-ongoing); the development of lab-grown limestone using industrial waste and solar energy (2022-ongoing); the Bed Stuy Aquarium (2024-present), and sculpture A Bed of Roses (2022), a finalist in the Times Square Arts Competition. Devang was previously a co-founder of the experimental music group Dragons of Zynth, as well as a team member of artist / architect / philosophers Arakawa + Gins.
